crystal tear drops slipped down the skin of His flaking cheeks
becoming cloudy from the soot on His blackened, burnt face
rising rigidly, pushing His body up from His black throne
a tree unrooting itself after a centuries' slumber
left hand thrust forward, grasping the grail presented before Him
He raised the goblet to His dry crumbling lips
silvery liquid overflowing His mouth, drenching His burnt corpse
The Demon's overbearing coat of ash washed away
the goblet fell from It's hands and He turned His attention
with His very, human, eyes to the girl before Him
"i have wasted much time in this land, as this land has laid waste to me over time,"
His voice sweet and gentle as he continued on
"what wish is so dear to you, girl, that i have been sought out to fulfill?"
she raised her head, parted her hair and smiled a smile very familiar to Him
she rose from her knees, her hands away from her weeping face
wings colored like the skies carried her before Him
arms wrapped around the smooth skin of His neck
she held Him tight to her pale body and whispered into His ear
"i've finally found my way back to you, now let us leave this forsaken place,"
"and return to our blissful days, back when we used to be just human."
he reassured her, "we shall, in time, but first my love there is someone who needs to die once more."
